Brand identity and systems

The single idea, and the rules that keep it consistent everywhere it appears.

Selected work

Fewer projects. More proof.

We take on a handful of engagements a year. Each one is built to be evidence, not a portfolio piece.

More work, experiments and things worth seeing.

The best work in the room is rarely the best known.

What we believe

Talent does not sell itself. It never did. Every year, better companies lose to better-known ones.

We started MadMonk because we were tired of watching founders with real craft get out-marketed by people with half the skill and twice the visibility. That gap is not fair. It is also fixable.

Why we exist

To close the distance between what a business has become and what the market still sees.

Most brands do not have a quality problem. They have a recognition problem. Our job is to make the truth of a business visible, so the reputation finally matches the work.

Why brands fail

Not from a lack of effort. From a lack of clarity.

A brand that tries to say everything says nothing. When a business cannot explain itself in one sentence, the market fills the silence with its own guess. Clarity is not a luxury. It is the whole game.

We do not make things. We make things worth remembering.

About

The people behind the work.

Swapnil with Dora & Coco · 900 × 1200

One founder.
In every room.

Swapnil Gade started MadMonk after years spent inside branding, packaging and advertising – building for others and watching too many good businesses stay invisible.

MadMonk is the studio he wished those founders had.

Small on purpose. Deep by design.

No layers between the idea and the person who shapes it. No unnecessary distance between a founder and the work. Just one creative mind in the room, working closely with the people building something worth believing in.

Founder & Creative Director

And then there are Dora & Coco.

Two chocolate Labradors. Unofficially part of the team.

They’ve been around for the late nights, the big ideas, the questionable ones, and the occasional moment when everyone needs to step away from the screen.

They keep the place grounded.

They are also our toughest critics.

If the work can’t hold their attention, it goes back to the desk.

Services

Four ways we make a business visible.

We do fewer things, deeper. Every engagement starts with a diagnostic, because we read the business before we touch the brand.

Brand identity and systems

The single idea, and the rules that keep it consistent everywhere it appears. Logo, type, colour, voice, and the system that holds them together.

Repositioning

Closing the gap between what you have become and what the market still sees. For businesses whose reputation is a decade behind the reality.

Packaging and product

Content and founder voice

A voice built to be recognised, not a feed built to be busy. The writing, the point of view, and the rhythm that compounds over years.

Retainer

The diagnostic

Where every engagement begins. We read the business, name the gap, and tell you honestly whether we are the right studio for it.

Industries

Different businesses. The same problem.

The work is better than the reputation. We see it in every sector we touch, and the fix is always the same shape.

01

Second-generation family businesses

Carrying a name built by someone else, ready to make it your own without losing what earned the trust.

02

High-ticket SME founders

You close almost everyone you meet in person, and almost no one has heard of you outside that room.

03

Agency owners and consultants

The industry's best-kept secret, referred quietly, never positioned publicly.

04

D2C brands repositioning

A genuinely better product trapped in a race to the bottom on price and packaging.

MadMonk Gives Back

The city feeds our work. We feed its dogs.

A part of everything MadMonk makes goes to the strays on the streets we grew up on. Not a campaign. A standing commitment, tracked in the open.

1000 × 1250

Because they were here first, and they ask for nothing.

India's streets hold millions of dogs who never chose to be there. They do not campaign for themselves. They just wait, for food, for shelter, for someone to notice.

MadMonk is built on making the unseen visible. This is that idea, off the screen and onto the pavement.

A creative studio for people with ideas.

So. What’s on your mind?

An ambitious idea? A business that needs a little madness? A problem you’ve been thinking about for far too long? Good. We should probably talk.

Let’s get into it

No pitch deck required. Half-formed ideas welcome.

01Start here

First, tell us what kind of trouble you’re in.

Not sure? Skip straight to the conversation

What we do

We make ideas hard to ignore.

  • 01Brand Strategy & IdentityWhat you stand for, and how it looks when you say it.
  • 02Creative Campaigns & AdvertisingIdeas built to travel further than the media plan.
  • 03Social Media & ContentFewer posts. Better reasons to stop scrolling.
  • 04Websites & Digital ExperiencesSites that do a job, not just take up an address.
  • 05Packaging & Communication DesignSo the shelf does some of the selling.
  • 06AI-Powered Creative ProductionNew tools, used with taste.
  • 07Creative Consulting & Other ExperimentsFor everything that doesn’t fit neatly on a list.

We’re good at creative. We’re also pretty good at listening.

Maybe you need a complete brand transformation.

Maybe you need someone to tell you why your current idea isn’t working.

Maybe you’re not sure what you need yet.

That’s fine. Start there.

02Your turn

Enough about us. What about you?

Tell us what you’re working on, what you’re trying to solve, or what you’ve been thinking about. We’ll take it from there.

No need to have it all figured out. That’s what conversations are for.

What do you need help with? pick as many as you like

We’ll only use these details to reply to your enquiry. No mailing lists, no passing them on.

Good things start with a conversation.

Maybe this is where something interesting begins.
